Ramadan menus: update in minutes, not weeks

LamsaQR · · 3 min read

The month when everything changes

In Ramadan opening hours shift, an iftar menu appears, suhoor is added and family offers are everywhere. Restaurants that print start preparing a month ahead and pay for at least two print runs. Digital restaurants set everything up in one sitting and switch it on the night the month begins.

A four-step plan

  1. Create a separate "Ramadan" menu in the dashboard with sections: iftar, suhoor, Ramadan sweets, drinks.
  2. Assign it to the branches that serve it, or make it the default menu for the whole month.
  3. Change opening hours per branch; the "Open now" badge on the page depends on them.
  4. Launch the offers: a family iftar bundle, free suhoor with an order, with validity dates so they expire on their own.

What the guest expects

  • Package prices that clearly say "per person" or "per family".
  • The daily iftar time is not your job, but the last suhoor order time is.
  • Photos of the Ramadan dishes: thareed, harees, luqaimat; one good photo per section is enough.
  • The WhatsApp booking button at the top; Ramadan reservations are made early.

After Eid

Switch the default menu back with one tap, restore the hours, and the system keeps the Ramadan menu for next year. Nothing printed, nothing thrown away.

The right template

"Majlis" with calm Arabic patterns and dotted prices fits the mood of the month; "Fine Dining Noir" suits upscale iftar gatherings. Try both on the live example.
